The new content of the Diabetes and Ramadan course covers four key topics on management of diabetes during Ramadan (month of fasting) namely, the epidemiology and physiology of diabetes and Ramadan fasting, the risks associated with fasting in people with diabetes, risk categories for people with diabetes who fast during Ramadan, Ramadan-focused diabetes education, evidence of the benefit of Ramadan-focused diabetes education and pre-Ramadan individual assessment and pharmacological management of high-risk populations during Ramadan.
You must complete all the sections of this online course to be awarded the IDF “Certificate of Completion” and one European CME credit.
The European Accreditation Council accredits this online course for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME). 1 European CME credit (ECMEC®) will be awarded on successful completion of this course.
Through an agreement between the European Union of Medical Specialists (UEMS) and the American Medical Association (AMA), physicians may convert EACCME credits to an equivalent number of AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM.
